Dog collars

If you don't have a tape measure handy, take a ribbon or cord and place it around the area where your dog wears his collars.
Do not put the band around the neck too tightly. Two fingers should fit between the dog and the measuring tape. If you have measured the circumference with a band, shoelace or cord, mark the point where the two ends of the cord meet and then measure this length with a ruler or folding rule. When choosing the collar, this length should be approximately in the middle of the specified collar length.

The width of a collar depends primarily on the size and weight of your dog.
For small dogs such as dachshunds, a width between 10 and 20mm is recommended.
For medium-sized dogs such as beagles, a collar width of between 20 and 30mm is recommended. For large dogs such as Weimaraners, German Shepherds or Great Danes, collar widths of between 25 and 50mm are recommended.
The heavier your dog, the wider the collar should be. This way the pulling force of the dog can be better distributed across the dog's body.

The choice of material depends on the application and of course also on personal taste.
If your dog likes to swim or roll around, we recommend using a collar made of washable materials. Leather is always recommended if you want a natural material with high tensile strength.

Of course, you can exchange your collar for the right size. The prerequisite for this is that the collar is unworn and the desired size is available.
