You can choose the size of the coat independently of the size of the chest band.

Important: 

1. If your dog is at the upper end of a size, your dog wears a harness, has a lot of fur, or has a pronounced chest, we recommend choosing the next larger size Coat size.
2. If your dog is on the smaller end of the size range and is slim and rather narrow, the next coat size down is recommended.
