Just like your jeans, you choose the size of our coats based on the back length and chest width. Choose your coat size from our chart based on your dog's back length. Your dog's chest circumference determines the chest band size.

With these two measurements you can put together your dog sweater individually for your furry friend.

For example, if your dog is particularly slim, simply choose a smaller chest band size. If your dog is larger and stronger, simply choose a chest band size one or two sizes larger.

Practical, easy to separate and wash

After a long walk with your dog through mud or dust, the chest strap made of water-repellent material can simply be wiped with a damp cloth - or you can detach the chest strap and put it in the washing machine on a gentle cycle at 30°C.

Our chest straps can be easily removed using a Velcro fastener and replaced with a different colored chest strap at any time. This allows you to customize the color of your dog's sweater at any time.

Ideal for dish carriers

By the way, your dog can also wear a harness under the LUDWIG sweater. The long two-way zipper on the back of the sweater allows for easy routing of the leash through the sweater and securing it in place with the two zippers.

When choosing the size of the chest strap, make sure that the circumference of the harness is taken into account.

Your dog’s safety is also taken into account

A big plus for your dog's safety: Each chest strap is provided with a reflective strip all the way around, so that your dog is clearly visible in traffic even in poor light conditions.

LUDWIG is washable at 30 degrees

The LUDWIG dog sweater can, of course, also be washed. To keep it looking new for a long time, we recommend using liquid detergent and washing it on a gentle cycle at 30°C with a maximum spin speed of 800 rpm. Do not tumble dry LUDWIG; simply hang it on a line.

To ensure your coat fits, we recommend measuring your dog before ordering.

1. Your dog must stand upright and straight during the measurement , with the head in an upright position as shown in the illustration.
2. Back length (green line): Please measure with a flexible tape measure the length between the bottom edge of a loose-fitting collar along the back line to the base of the tail.
3. Chest circumference (orange line) To determine the chest circumference, please measure the circumference of your dog’s chest with a measuring tape at the widest or highest point . If your dog regularly wears a harness under their coat or has a lot of fur, please take this additional circumference into account.
4. Neck circumference (purple line) To determine the correct neck circumference, place a tape measure around your dog's neck and measure the circumference where your dog normally wears the collar. Allow two fingers of space between the tape measure and the neck.

Exchanges

A prerequisite for an exchange is that the goods are unused, in their original packaging and in perfect condition. Products full of dog hair are considered used and cannot be exchanged.

Exchanges are free for all orders from Germany. If you wish to exchange your order, please register your exchange in advance on our returns portal and send us your goods within 7 days of registration.

Return shipping costs from EU countries or North America must be paid by the customer.

To register on our returns portal, you will need your email address and your order number, which can be found on your invoice or order confirmation. The order number starts with "TE".

If your returned goods show signs of use, we will have to reject the exchange. In this case, we will send your goods back to you. 

Returns

For returns from Germany, we will gladly provide you with a DHL shipping label. We charge a flat rate of 5.90€ for the DHL shipping label for returns, which we will deduct from your credit.

Return shipping costs from EU and non-EU countries must generally be paid by the customer.

If your returned goods show signs of use, we reserve the right to refuse acceptance of the return or to withhold part of the refund amount.
